The Monkey - symbol of the Wind God A carving showing all 16 of Copan's kings, from first to last.  It was carved during the era of the last king and it showed him holding hands with the first, forming a full circle.  Seems that he really knew he would be the last and commissioned this work. Tortoise, symbol of longevity - something in common with the Chinese.
