Seal shot. Its warm blood had melted the ice by the time we arrived and stained the sea red. The hunter has to harpoon the seal quickly to spare it from further suffering.
Continuing his work. He left the seal partially out to drain the blood.  What a barren scene!  The seals provide some economic activity in this harsh land.
A seal swimming towards us only to be shot. Blood spurting out. Another seal.
Another kill. We dragged this heavy one onto the ice slab and then Benti proceeded to tie it with a rope. Benti on the small boat.
The heavy seal was finally dragged up the boat. Some of the hunted seals.
